“I did my BA Honours degree in Art and Design at Liverpool College of Art for three years, specialising in Graphic Design. Then I did my Art Teachers Diploma at the University of Liverpool. I have retired after 37 years of teaching art as well as other subjects to GCSE level. I still have the opportunity to teach art now at Primary level, at times, at a local primary school which I thoroughly enjoy. I have done some commissions for the Welsh Books Council, illustrating children’s books and novel covers as well as designing Christmas cards. I do private commissions (portraits in pencil/birth framed pictures) Now I have time to follow my passion, which is combining embroidery with my art. I am inspired by the beautiful Welsh churches, cottages as well as local landmarks”.
