BETH .O. WILLIAMS

Beth was born in Bangor and has lived near Parys Mountain all her life. As a self-taught artist Beth’s work is unique and is inspired by her local environment. A lot of her childhood was spent on Parys Mountain, where her passion for colours and her artistic journey commenced. Her early paintings were mostly in acrylic and of landscapes. Beth then began using water colour and ink to paint wildlife; her most recent works are portraits. These have been her biggest challenge to date. Beth loves painting and has recently started exploring colour theory. She believes that you should enjoy what you paint that is why her work is varied.

Beth’s artwork has been seen in various shows around Anglesey, where she has been accredited many awards and trophies. In 2016 and 2018 she won the public’s choice award “The Pat Cossey Shield” at the Hen Ysgol art group exhibition. Her work has been on display at the Oriel Ynys Môn and she has been a member and participant of the A.A.W since 2017. Her first exhibition takes place in August 2019 at Oriel Ger Y Fenai Gallery. This will display her most recent art work along with earlier pieces.
